Rounding Decimals

Do you know how to round Decimals?

If you don't know anything about Rounding Decimals then I will tell you how.

You can round decimals by tens, hundreds, thousands, millions, and all of the place values above that you can do too.

This is how you round decimals. When you round a decimal, you should first underline the digit to be rounded.

Example: Round 1.325 to the nearest whole number. The digit is in the ones place that you're rounding.

The digit that you round can be in any place values that it says to round. Then after you have underlined the digit you are going to round you should

look at the digit to the right of the number that is going to be rounded.

The digit that's 4 or less, the underlined digit remains the same.

The digit that's 5 or greater, add 1 to the underlined digit. Here are some examples of rounding decimals.

Round 98.98 to the nearest tenth. So you would underline the tenths place in the number. 98.98

Look at the digit right of the 9. So you would either round it to 99.9 or 100.00. I would round it to 100.00. Here is a website that you
